Tehran reports attacking a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched missile attacks across the region in response for a "massive" and ongoing attack targeting the nation by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an vicinity near the command center of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The full scale of any destruction is unclear and the United States has remained silent.

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Kuwait - each hosting US military bases - said they have intercepted missiles in their air space.

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated it was striking American facilities and interests as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in retaliation for the strikes on the Islamic Republic initiated by the United States and its ally Israel on Saturday morning.
That preceding assault - launched at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on locations linked to the the regime, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to revolt against the leadership.

In Israel, air raid sirens sounded nationwide after the Israeli military stated it had identified an barrage of missiles from Iran.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems dealt with the projectiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a several projectiles," it added.
Officials reported debris fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and the death of one civilian.
The United States Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
